Since 1900

In the heart of the Saint-Tropez peninsula

What a beautiful year 1900 was: remember, it was the year the first zeppelin flew, the year the Paris metro was put into service, the year the poet Jacques PrĂ©vert was born… and it was the year Domaine La Rouillère was created.

The estate covers almost 230 hectares, straddling the charming communes of Gassin and Ramatuelle, in the heart of the Saint-Tropez peninsula.

The name “Rouillère” comes from the river that runs through the middle of the property.

A rekindled passion...

Among these rolling lands of forests and rivers, 47 hectares are devoted to the cultivation of vines with the greatest respect for tradition and sustainable agriculture. In 1998, the owners, as they like to say, “woke up the sleeping beauty” by becoming the happy and passionate owners of the Domaine.

Tradition & Innovation

A new wind blew through La Rouillère, and together they created a perfect marriage of tradition and innovation. To this end, a splendid 1700m² wine-making cellar was built at the heart of the estate: a veritable architectural jewel housing a treasure trove of technology. Inside, no fewer than 54 stainless steel vats and a huge barrel cellar have been installed, all in an unrivalled state of hygiene.

A privileged terroir

The vineyards are planted with 7 precious grape varieties: Grenache, Cinsault, Mourvèdre, Carignan, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah for red and rosĂ© wines. Then Vermentino, Semillon and Ugni Blanc for white wines. The Domaine’s vineyard plots benefit from a perfect combination of exposure and terroir to produce top-quality CĂ´tes de Provence appellation wines. Oenological expertise combined with the latest innovations in wine production produce light, flavorful wines that are appreciated by the most discerning palates.
